Zoopla records 102% rise in visitors for year beginning

It could turn out to be a happy new year for the property industry, as the property search website Zoopla experienced record levels of traffic in the first four days of the year, reports myintroducer.com.

According to the website, visitors were up 102 per cent year-over-year in the first four days of 2011. In total, over 1 million property searches were reportedly undertaken, suggesting that there are plenty of potential buyers out there for the industry.

Furthermore, enquiry levels are up 251 per cent over the same period, with vendor appraisal leads up by 258 per cent, according to the publication.

And good news for estate agents has a knock on effect for others in the industry, and will be welcomed by those working in diverse areas such as removals, property marketing and residential property photography.
