It’s a bit of a clumsy moniker – but “floor plan anti-porn” is proving popular with the online audience.
“What on earth is ‘floor plan anti-porn’?” We hear you ask…
Well it turns out to be articles and information all about the kinds of properties with layouts that would usually be considered the ultimate in unenviable.
Floorplans Not User Friendly
Everything from the currently sought after “micro apartments” to large purpose built and converted properties that have ended up with spaces arranged in a way that at first glance seems less than user friendly.
It turns out the genre is so popular that successful property, interiors and architecture blog Curbed has allocated it its own section online – showcasing the very worst floor plans from across their catchment area.
Readers Offered Virtual Tours
Readers are offered 360 virtual tours of dwellings that might seem unappealing on first glance at the floor plans, asked for their opinions on how to dress and use spaces that seem non-sensical from the architects drawings and treated to a sneak peek at some of the “worst floor plans ever.”
While presented in tongue in cheek style, the tagged articles actually show a willingness on behalf of the property loving public to see past what might initially be considered problems in order to benefit from non-standard homes in desirable locations.
Here at Photoplan we know that floor plans offer a great insight into the possibilities of a property, but would always advise that they are taken in conjunction with other marketing materials such as property photography and virtual tours in order for buyers to be able to build up the bigger picture.
