Recent Heatwave Made House Hunters Go Mobile
The recent UK heat wave saw buyers going mobile, driving a number of agents to further investigate mobile communications for property marketing, an industry specialist has revealed.
Simon Kaguramamba, founder of mobile property marketing specialists PropertyGoneMobi revealed that his business had been inundated with enquiries from agents after figures from the height of the heatwave revealed that 20% of Rightmove searched made while the sun shone originated from mobile devices.
Is Your Real Estate Marketing Accessible in all Formats?
Industry sources reported that, on the sunny Sunday when the temperatures peaked, one in five of all property searches carried out on the leading home selling website was made from a mobile, smart phone or other portable device such as a tablet or iPad.
Speaking after the revelation, Mr Kaguramamba said that the numbers showed just how important it is for agents to ensure that their websites are fully accessible from mobile platforms. He said property marketing professionals were aware that the majority of leads started with a web search, but many were unaware of how important it is that those site are easily accessed on the go.
Mobile Searches Boost Leads for Agents
He stressed the importance of ensuring that mobile users did not navigate away from the page because of an incompatibility with their mobile device and said: “Agents can boost their leads by up to 5% every month by simply having a mobile optimised view of their property listings.”
Agents need to ensure that their online listings are fully visible to visitors in any format – ensuring that house hunters can have access to all aspects of a property marketing portfolio, from particulars to property photography to 360 virtual tours in whatever format they choose for their search.
