Real Estate Photography Award Announced
Industry blog Photography for Real Estate has announced the winner of its Top Property Photographer of 2011 Award.
The accolade, which is voted for by readers of the PFRE blog, many of whom are the entrants’ property photography peers, has been given to Hawaii-based real estate photographer Dave Rezendes. His winning entry featured an architect-designed house in his home town of Honolulu.
A spokesman for PFRE confirmed the win at the beginning of the month, saying: “Dave’s image won by a large margin over the rest of the entries.”
Winner’s Real Estate Photography Featured in Lifestyle Publications
The modest winner, whose work has featured in glossy publications including Home Accents Today, Traditional Home and Luxury Home quarterly, paid tribute to the level of design in his own area, crediting the buildings and surroundings of Hawaii as part of his inspiration.
He said: “Living here in Hawaii there is a great opportunity to see and shoot some of the most beautiful homes in the most beautiful locales in the country.”
Real Estate Photographer Aimed for Natural-Looking Image
The winning image features a living room scene, with floor to ceiling windows offering a stunning ocean view.
Explaining how he captured the shot, the winner said: “The biggest challenge with this shot was preserving the view and keeping it as natural as possible as it becomes part of the living space.”
Since being named as a top property photographer, Mr Rezendes has been interviewed by America Online and is now recognised as an industry expert.
